Citi Stock Falls. Bank Lifts Key Financial Target as Investor Day Gets Underway.

Citigroup boosted a key profitability target on Thursday, a move that was widely expected as the bank’s investor day event was getting underway at its New York headquarters. Shares were down 3% in premarket trading, however, as investors appeared underwhelmed by the figures. Citi said it would target return on tangible common equity, or RoTCE, between 11% and 13%, excluding the financial impact of its Banamex stake sale, for next year and 2028.
