Rocket Lab Stock Is Jumping for 2 Reasons

Rocket Lab stock jumped in premarket trading Monday after the company announced a new business win. Shares of the mini- SpaceX which has launch and satellite services like Elon Musk’s larger rocket company, were up 4.1% at $66.53 in premarket trading, while and futures were both rising about 1%. The move came after Rocket Lab announced it was awarded a $266 million launch services contract with the U.S. Space Force for missile defense.
