US stocks (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) surge ahead to close out the first trading day of August with daily gains, the Nasdaq Composite rising by 2.13%. Cboe senior vice president JJ Kinahan joins Josh Lipton to assess the day's rise in the tech sector as key chipmakers like AMD (AMD) prepare to release earnings this week. Kinahan is also Cboe's head of retail expansion and alternative investment products.
