Dow Climbs More Than 800 Points in Broad Rally

The Dow surged back to record levels on Thursday as big financial stocks provided a boost. The blue-chip index rose 866 points or 1.7%, on pace for an all-time high and its biggest percentage gain since April. If the Dow closes at a record today, it would mark its 15th record in 2026.
