S&P 500 Pops 1.2% after Trump Says He No Longer Plans Iran Strikes Tonight

The S&P 500 jumped on Thursday after President Trump said he no longer plans to strike Iran tonight. The Dow rose 680 points, or 1.4%. "Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," Trump said.
