Verizon Communications is losing its spot in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Following the change, the storied index will no longer include any traditional telecom names since AT&T lost its post to Apple in 2015. It was down 2.6% to $45.53 in trading Wednesday, faring worse than AT&T and the S&P 500.
